Welcome to the ROC Files.Within this archive lies a growing collection of anomalous entities — each one secured, observed, and sometimes barely contained. The Restriction of Confinement (ROC) is a covert classification system documenting these irregularities. You are authorized to search the logs, access redacted reports, and discover the truth behind what should never exist.Proceed with caution. Some files are active.
ROC-0001
Name: The Loopfinch
Threat Level: Low
Containment: Contained in Habitat Chamber B1 with a morning light cycle.Description:
A bird-like entity with silver feathers that shimmer faintly at dawn. When it sings, nearby digital clocks reset to 8:03 AM, though no actual time passes. This effect occurs only once per day and seems to soothe stress in listeners.Observers often report a strange calm, as if “restarting the day” emotionally.Notes:
Called “Dawnbird” by staff. Commonly used in early morning morale checks.

ROC-0002
Name: The Glowmoth
Threat Level: Low
Containment: Kept in a secure terrarium in Lab C1, under gentle lighting conditions.Description:
A large, moth-like creature with translucent wings that softly glow in pastel colors. Glowmoths flutter quietly and are drawn to calm environments. Their light has a relaxing effect on those nearby, often helping with sleep or easing anxiety.Notes:
Often called “Dreamlight” by staff. Completely harmless and sometimes used in therapeutic settings during testing.

ROC-0003
Name: The Velvet Crawler
Threat Level: Low
Containment: Contained in Enclosure D3 with soft fabric walls and minimal noise.Description:
A fuzzy, centipede-like creature that moves slowly and never makes a sound. Its body feels like warm velvet and radiates a soft, steady heat. People nearby often report reduced anxiety and improved mood. The creature enjoys curling into spirals and reacts positively to calm speech.Notes:
Sometimes called “Therapede” by staff. Approved for supervised interaction therapy.

ROC-0004
Name: The Echofern
Threat Level: Medium
Containment: Planted in Containment Garden F2 with controlled ambient noise.Description:
A bioluminescent plant that responds to whispered speech by vibrating gently, echoing the speaker's words back in a calm tone several seconds later. The voice it uses is not the speaker’s but is always familiar.Extended exposure can cause mild emotional openness and feelings of nostalgia.Notes:
Nicknamed “Whisperleaf.” Researchers advised not to confide sensitive thoughts near the plant.

ROC-0005
Name: The Puddle Pup
Threat Level: Low
Containment: Resides in Wetland Enclosure G3 with natural plants.Description:
A small amphibious creature resembling a puppy with webbed feet and shiny skin. Puddle Pups love to splash and are known for their playful nature.Notes:
Called “Splash Buddy” by caretakers. Brings joy and laughter.

ROC-0006
Name: The Breeze Hare
Threat Level: High
Containment: Contained in Habitat H3, with airflow monitors and no sudden noise allowed in the chamber.Description:
A white-furred hare with unusually long ears that ripple in the air like fabric. The creature is peaceful and prefers open grassy environments. When undisturbed, it sits still for hours, generating faint breezes that soothe nearby observers. If startled, the ears whip violently and create bursts of wind strong enough to knock over light equipment. Afterward, it resumes its calm state without further aggression.Notes:
Previously used in a meditation trial. Now considered unstable under stress.

ROC-0007
Name: The Lumenbug
Threat Level: Medium
Containment: Secured in a light-dampened container in Lab L2. Viewing limited to brief intervals.Description:
A small beetle with a bioluminescent shell that glows in soft, pulsing colors. Lumenbugs are quiet and gentle, usually hiding in warm pockets of fabric or soil. Exposure to its light appears to lift mood and encourage calm. After extended viewing, the pulses become erratic, sometimes causing confusion or visual overstimulation. Some individuals report minor memory lapses following close observation.Notes:
Staff sometimes refer to it as “Brightling.” Testing now requires timed sessions.

ROC-0008
Name: The Velvet Tail
Threat Level: High
Containment: Housed in Observation Enclosure V1. Visual interaction kept under strict limits.Description:
A fox-sized creature with a rich, velvety tail that moves slowly in hypnotic waves. It makes no sound and appears curious around people. Proximity induces feelings of trust and comfort. However, extended eye contact with the tail leads to trance-like stillness. Affected personnel may follow the creature silently or ignore instructions until removed from the area.Notes:
Once considered harmless. Now flagged for passive psychological influence.

ROC-0009
Name: The Mistling
Threat Level: Medium
Containment: Maintained in a sealed humidity-controlled chamber (Room M4). Entry must be logged.Description:
A light-gray humanoid shape composed of fine mist. It floats just above the ground and produces no audible sound. Close exposure results in calm and nostalgia, sometimes triggering emotional memories or tears. After several minutes, staff report disorientation or seeing people who aren't present. Mistling tends to drift away if approached too quickly.Notes:
Nicknamed “Softstep” before containment protocol change. Not physically dangerous.

ROC-0010
Name: The Honeywing
Threat Level: Medium
Containment: Secured in Floral Enclosure F2. Interaction occurs through sealed glass.Description:
A large moth with golden, shimmering wings that give off a sweet, honey-like scent. The Honeywing is peaceful and drawn to floral materials. Its presence is associated with calm and comfort.Prolonged exposure to the scent can cause light-headedness or daydream-like states. In rare cases, individuals have fallen asleep in its presence and reported vivid dreams or time loss.Notes:
Once studied as a calming agent. Testing now includes monitoring for altered cognition.
